Recovery for Life: Helping Others Help Themselves
Recovery For Life is a program for people who are ready
to move beyond the effects of their mental illnesses and
emotional challenges.
Participants use recovery workbooks in small group settings
to create personal plans in a supportive environment.
A peer leader, who has already begun a personal recovery,
facilitates these small group sessions.
After you complete the workbook, you can continue in a
recovery support group.
Groups meet at various times and locations across South
Carolina. Please call to find
out if a group meets in your community.
Here's what some members have to say about participating
in this recovery program:
"It gives hope."
"It made me look deep inside myself."
"Simple to understand and complete."
"I learned more about myself and the choices
I have."
"I enjoyed going through the workbooks with others
and learning more about recovery."
"I enjoyed the challenge to reach for a better
quality of life and not to settle for just getting by."
